Amplify: Visual Art!

Experience the joy of Chrys Burns incredible art at the District Theatre

The 2021 Fringe Theatre Festival is all about amplifying the voices of the exceptional artists in our Midwestern community. While the core of the festival is grounded in the performing arts, you will definitely not want to miss the stunning artwork of local artist and educator, Chrys Burns, on display in the District Theatre lobby.

A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Chrystopher Burns is a middle school instructor by day and a visual artist the rest of the day. A lover of all things art, he has chosen abstract painting as the ideal medium by which he conveys the visions in his mind's eye. Under the name of "Picassoul," Burns uses bright colors and strong black outlines to make his artwork striking and memorable. His work ahs been recently featured in the Garfield Park Art Center, Central Library's annual "Meet the Artist" showcase, and Indiana Landmarks' "Perspective" exhibition.
